IT’S GO TIME: We need your help

We’ve been through the wringer, but we're finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel when it comes to permitting and we're ready to build this bike park.

Today, we're incredibly close to the finish line with permitting.

Our electrical, HVAC, plumbing and zoning permits have all been accepted. We've submitted the final requested revisions for our ADA and Life Safety plans and once those receive approval, we're officially full speed ahead.

It’s time to gear up.

We Need Your Help

Now comes the part where we ask for your support. With all the requirements to get our building up to code, our budget is pretty much shot. The building we’re in needed more updates than forecasted but in the long run this location will be part of our success.

On our bike shop website, you'll find a list of symbolic items that help fund the actual materials needed to build the park. Instead of making a traditional donation, you can "purchase" things like a sprinkler head, lumber, fasteners and other building supplies. Every symbolic purchase directly helps us buy the real materials needed to make this park a reality.

Every contribution gets us closer to opening the doors.

Where Your Money Has Gone

We’re lucky to have so much support from our community. We don’t take that for granted and we’ve been working tirelessly to get the park up and running. We've always wanted to share the workload and the financial aspect about this project. We hope sharing these numbers shows where your support is going and gives others an idea of what it really takes to build a bike park for the community.

So far, we've invested more than $247,600 into this project. That includes architects, engineering, utilities, insurance, fire protection systems, building materials, shipping containers, bike shop equipment and countless other materials needed to bring this vision to life.

Every dollar has been stretched as far as possible. We've negotiated with contractors and suppliers and shopped around for the best pricing. To make this project as sustainable as possible, we rolled up our sleeves and found a way to do much of project ourselves. Our goal has always been the same: create a safe and welcoming facility that can sustain for generations of riders to come even if that takes us working 60 hour weeks.

The exciting part is just around the corner. The plans are nearly complete, permits are wrapping up and construction is about to shift into high gear.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far. We're almost there. Let's build this bike park together.

Where Your and our Money will go

While we've made incredible progress, there are still some major expenses ahead. We still have the full HVAC and fire sprinkler bills to pay and those will be significant. We also have portions of the fire alarm, electrical, plumbing and permit fees remaining to be billed for, along with the rest of the building materials. On top of that, we'll need to bring in some amazing ramp builders to help complete the project.

On the low end, it will take about $280,000 of additional spending to get this park open. The Woods Room crew is already investing another $125,000 into the project, bringing our total commitment to over $300,000 and 2 years of our lives. To help cover the remaining costs and get us across the finish line, we're looking to raise an additional $100,000.

Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to opening the park and creating a safe, welcoming and accessible place for everyone. Thank you for believing in this project and helping make it a reality.

So much help

The support from our community has been nothing short of incredible. From the very beginning, people have believed in this vision and that encouragement has helped carry this project forward every step of the way.

We can’t thank everyone enough who has given their time to help move ramps and help around the building.

We're also grateful for the generous support we've received from Cleveland Brothers, PPG Paints, 84 Lumber, Eastmont Electrical, Alpha to Omega HVAC, Spynda Electrical, Profile Racing, The Shadow Conspiracy, Subrosa, Rant, and Red Bull. Their donations of materials, services, products financial support have made a tremendous impact and helped us move closer to opening the park.

This project is proof of what can happen when a community comes together. Every donation, every volunteer hour, every shared post and every word of encouragement has played a part in turning an empty building into a place that will serve riders of all ages for years to come. We couldn't do this without you and we're excited to keep building this park together.
